Parents & Guardians
Impartial, Caring and Safe
We want to provide every young person who comes to us with a safe place to live, where every effort is made to listen to them, understand where they are coming from and provide support in areas that they need it.
We are not trying to replace your family in their lives, but we want them to find security and stability as they seek to develop the skills and experiences they need for independent living, as well as better deal with issues that they are struggling with in their lives. We do want to provide a sense of ‘belonging’, particularly if they are dealing with attachment issues and have struggled in previous care environments.
We also want to provide you with an impartial listening ear, ideally from your young person’s Key Support Worker, so that you can share your concerns and wishes. If there is specific support that we can provide to you to help in any way, we seek to do this.
Services we can provide
Supported Accommodation
- Supported Accommodation for young persons through the Local Authority
- Emergency / Respite Accommodation – Whilst our primary focus is meeting the needs of Young Persons in Local Authority care, we are open to referrals from any Parent / Guardian whose Young Persons could benefit from our services.
Support Services
- Support Services for Young Persons – We provide a considerable range of support for Young Persons, taking nothing for granted. We not only want to help them to survive, we want to help them to thrive. You can find more details about this on our Support Services page.
- Support for Parents / Guardians / Carers – Whilst our primary focus is providing support services to Young Persons, we also recognise the need for support services for those who care for them / relate to them. You can find more details about this on our Support Services page.
Specialist Support Services
- Specialist Support Services for Young Persons – As well as providing a range of support services for Young Persons, we also provide specialist support where this is needed. You can find more details about this on our Specialist Support Services page.
- Support for Parents / Guardians / Carers – Whilst our primary focus is providing specialist support services to Young Persons, we also recognise the need for those who care for them / relate to them to be able to better understand and cope with ongoing situations. Our trained teams deliver our services for young people both in our own premises and others.
Supported Accommodation
- Emergency / Respite Accommodation – We realise that sometimes placements are needed at very short notice, and we are looking to put in place the flexibility to provide accommodation to meet that need.
- 4 week trial periods – We recognise that a trial period can be beneficial for all parties and so are very willing to provide this service.
